Positioned as the state is beneath the famed Mississippi Flyway, the primary route for waterfowl migrating from Canada to wintering habitat down south, there’s more than enough game for hunters along the eastern third of the state.
Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Thursday appointed Bobby L. Martin of Rogers to the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission to serve a 7-year term, replacing outgoing commissioner Emon Mahony.
After some opening weekend success, most of Arkansas duck hunters have found limited success with unseasonably warm temperatures and unbelievably too much water.
