Greenhead presents the 2020 Executive Q&A featuring a slate of executives sharing the moments, tips, guns and gadgets that have made their time in the field special.

Robert Moery
Principal, Broadview Strategies

Number of days you hunt a season? Twelve to 15

Where do you hunt? Mostly near our family farm in Carlisle but all over the Grand Prairie region

Club name? I have not joined a club, yet. I’m fortunate to have family and friends that invite me.

What kind of gun do you use? Browning A5

Favorite duck call? RNT Original

Fields, reservoir or timber? Timber

Rainy, nasty or bluebird sky? Bluebird

Favorite hunting story/memory? That’s really hard to pick. I’d have to say when the ice thawed from the 2000-01 freeze, my grandpa would take me before school and we would get our limits in time for me to make the first bell. That was pretty special.

What got you into hunting? My dad and grandpa both duck hunted a lot when I was little. I think I went on my first duck hunt when I was 4 or 5 years old and have been hooked since.

What is your most unusual “must have” in the duck blind? I can’t say that I carry anything unusual. I try not to carry a lot of stuff when I go.

Where is your go-to spot for breakfast/meals on a hunting weekend? Advadas in Carlisle for breakfast, Craig’s BBQ in Devalls Bluff for lunch and Murry’s in Hazen for supper.

Which Arkansas executive calls ducks the best? That’s another tough pick. Gardner Lile, Cole Plafcan and AGFC Commissioner Bobby Martin are all great callers.
