Health experts have recognized the benefits of medical fitness classes that support patients who are managing chronic conditions such as Parkinson’s disease, high blood pressure, diabetes and heart disease. Testimonials provide evidence of their success.
“It feels like I’m reclaiming a piece of myself that I thought was lost,” wrote a patient who was able to overcome a degenerative disc condition that affected her quality of life. She is a graduate of Conway Regional Health and Fitness Center’s Script to Fit program.
“I had given up hope. It has been life-altering for me in so many ways, and I want to express my deep appreciation.”
Medical fitness scholarships can be a lifeline for patients who cannot afford the classes.
This is where the Conway Regional Health Foundation’s fundraising mission can have a direct impact on the community. Medical fitness scholarships are funded by the Arkansas Duck Derby, Conway Regional Health System’s annual fundraiser.
The Health Foundation also addresses other community needs, including the purchase of medication for the underserved members of the patient population, support for a food pantry for home health patients, and hotel stays for financially challenged patients and their families.

The seventh annual Arkansas Duck Derby will be held on Friday, Jan. 9, 2026, with a banquet, live and silent auctions, raffles, food, entertainment and much more at the University of Central Arkansas HPER Center. The doors will open at 6 p.m.The community is invited to attend the banquet regardless of whether individuals participate in the hunt. The event will begin early Friday morning with the much-anticipated competitive hunt, winners of which will receive first, second and third place prizes. Proceeds from the annual event benefit health care initiatives of Conway Regional Health System, a nonprofit health care provider.
