Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson on Wednesday named retired Stuttgart car dealer Joe Morgan to the independent panel that regulates hunting and fishing in the state.

Morgan was appointed to a seven-year term to replace Ron Duncan, whose term expired earlier this month. He will serve in 2022 and follows his son Brett in service to the Commission. Brett was appointed by former Gov. Mike Huckabee in 2003.

Morgan is an avid outdoorsman and accomplished waterfowler with a long, involved history of the Bayou Meto WMA in southeast Arkansas.
