Living in Jonesboro, Arkansas in another life I had the opportunity to hunt around the lands of Weiner, Arkansas and meet some of the people that were connected to Claypool’s. Outside the stories of Nash Buckingham and Edgar Queeny, I have not found an article that truly summarizes what has drawn me to Arkansas duck hunting than this story. To me this is what it is all about, not just harvesting ducks, but the whole experience and culture that is Arkansas duck hunting.
With Christmas close and all it has with family and friends, and with duck season in full swing I thought it fitting to share this story to remind us what it is all about. Enjoy!
