Greenhead.net Pro Staffer Anthony Cassinelli took these photos yesterday of their blind situated in the Cache River’s Black Swamp near Gregory, Arkansas.

The blind sits seven feet above the ground if that gives you an idea how low the water is in the Cache.  The main channel of the Cache is to the right of the blind and at this time last year, was at six feet. Right now it’s about two feet deep and only thirty feet wide.

For an idea of what the blind and river should look like, see this photo taken by James Overstreet on ESPN.com Outdoors 2009 Duck Trek.

Cooler temps are here…but not sure we want them yet.  Doesn’t appear there will be many puddles for a duck to sit in until we get more rain.  Lots of rain.
