Number of days you hunt a season? 15-20
Where do you hunt? DeWitt
Club name? Big Creek
What kind of gun do you use? Beretta A400 Xtreme
Favorite duck call? Echo
Fields, reservoir or timber? I love the timber but hunt more fields.
Rainy, nasty or bluebird sky? Bluebird for sure
Favorite duck hunting story/memory? We had a lot of great memories growing up hunting at Circle S near DeWitt.
What got you into hunting? My dad got both my brother and me into duck hunting when I was about 10 years old. We hunted on Peckerwood Lake with a bunch of older guys with 10 gauges. Quite a place to learn.
What is your most unusual “must have” in the duck blind? Not sure if I have one — just lots of coffee.
Where is your go-to spot for breakfast/meals on a hunting weekend? We mostly cook at Big Creek. I love searing fresh duck or goose: I just have to make sure and not overcook.
If you have children, do you take them duck hunting? If so, what are some of the highlights from these youth hunts? I have two kids — Mary Collins is 11 and Russell is 9. They both love the outdoors and being at our farm. My daughter is more into taking pictures and the animals around the farm. Russell likes to hunt with us, especially in the “Big Blind.”
Which Arkansas executive calls ducks the best? If you asked my good friend, Cody Crawford, he would say him. I say it’s Adam Rutledge.
