Favorite duck hunting story/memory? An unexpected pintail hunt. Three different groups came in, and I was able to shoot a bull sprig and hen sprig. Those ducks are fast.
What got you into hunting? It started as a desire to spend time with my husband and son. It has turned into a passion.
What is your most unusual “must have” in the duck blind? You will never catch me in a blind without an assortment of snacks – sometimes even leftovers from the night before.
Where is your go-to spot for breakfast/meals on a hunting weekend? Nothing beats a hot breakfast at the Hasty Drake cooked by Big Lee.
If you have children, do you take them duck hunting? If so, what are some of the highlights from these youth hunts? This year, our son turned 16, so he no longer qualifies for youth hunts. The best part of watching him grow up around hunting is now he teaches his buddies how to hunt on the same land where we taught him.
