Circuit Judge Randy Philhours of Paragould issued a temporary stay to prevent the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission (AGFC) from enforcing its deadline to remove personal and private duck blinds from three NEA Wildlife Management Areas.

The hunters were given a deadline of October 14, 2012 to have all their personal property removed and private duck blinds dismantled or the AGFC would begin demolition. The AGFC had issued 158 permits to hunters allowing them access to remove their property and blinds but a groundswell of support from hunters in disagreement with the AGFC’s assessments of the three public hunting areas filed a lawsuit stalling the effort.
