The Conway Regional Health System Duck Derby Banquet and Duck Derby Hunt promoting men’s health awareness will take place Monday and Tuesday, with proceeds helping to benefit the hospital’s guest house for patient families.

The banquet is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday at the University of Central Arkansas HPER Center in Conway and includes dinner, drinks, entertainment, raffles, silent and live auctions. Doors open at 5:30 p.m and tickets can be purchased at ArkansasDuckDerby.com.

Raffle prizes include a 4×4 truck with a leveling kit, winch, fog lights, mud tires and more; a 2020 Polaris Ranger 500 side-by-side and an Ambush hunting boat.

The Duck Derby Hunt takes place the following morning and includes teams of four participating in a competitive hunt on land donated by private owners. The winning team is determined by a point system and will split a cash prize of $5,000 with the landowner. Second prize is $2,500 and third is $1,250.

Every hunter and landowner receives a gift package.

The primary goal of both events is to encourage men to proactively seek the screenings they need at different stages in life. Men are twice as likely to die of preventable causes, while approximately 70% of health issues can be prevented with lifestyle changes.
