Memphis-based Chêne Gear has launched an entire collection of youth duck hunting attire and an innovative wader program allowing kids to hunt with premium waders season after season.
The wader program, explained in detail by Chêne’s Jeff Jones here, allows young hunters to purchase a pair of waders for $800, and then pay only $125 each time they need to size up due to a growth spurt. The waders are made from the identical materials and construction of the adult waders and are backed by the same lifetime warranty. They built three age groupings for sizin, including ages 6-8 (boot size 4), 9-11 (size five boot), and 12-14 (size six boot).
Also available for youth are the Over-and-Under jacket with its warm Sherpa fleece lining, the Hydro-Lok Shell for those rainy days, and the Sherpa Lined Fleece pants designed to go under the waders.
The program launched this summer, and gear is available now through their website at CheneGear.com or in their Memphis retail store.
