The seventh annual Arkansas Duck Derby raised more than $680,000 this month, with funds going to support community health initiatives throughout Central Arkansas.
“Each year, this event grows in its reach and in its impact. We are deeply grateful to every participant, sponsor, and volunteer whose support allows us to advance meaningful initiatives that improve lives and expand future care in our community,” Conway Regional Health System CEO Matt Troup told the Log Cabin Democrat.
The annual event started on Jan. 9 with an early morning duck hunt, where 37 registered participants harvested 248 ducks at various private lands and duck clubs across Central Arkansas, according to AY Magazine.
The Duck Derby Banquet that evening included live auctions, men’s and women’s raffles, dinner and live entertainment, with one guest taking home half of the $33,250 50/50 raffle pot, while the remaining funds were donated to the Conway Regional Health Foundation.
“The Arkansas Duck Debry continues to play a vital role in strengthening our ability to deliver care that is both highly intentional and refreshingly personal,” Troup said.
